The Boot

After being cancelled for the past 3 years due to bad weather The Boot went ahead. The holders Market Harborough gave us a warm welcome which we needed as the rain was pelting down when we arrived. Luckily the sun came out as we warmed up.

Both teams had 4 games each, 2 against Market Harborough and 2 against Oundle. All the teams were quite evenly matched and we had wins, loses and draws. The children showed how their skills are developing. They defended well and there were some great breaks.

We came second in our age group, however our wins helped Kettering win overall. As a result The Boot was presented to a representative of the Kettering under 7's before being safely transported back to our trophy cabinet.

We're looking forward to defending The Boot at home as under 8's.
