The 7s survive the wind rain and the mud.

I was very proud of the 18 under 7’s that turned up for training today.. it looked like a scene from the film Private Benjamin, but we had no tears ,,well one or two but I’m proud to say we out lasted the under 9s today by 10 minutes ..Something we will properly never be able to say again, as their head coach Tudor is like Clint Eastwood the Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway in Heartbreak Ridge with his training ...
I've got a funny feeling that Robbo is aspiring to be like him soon.
So look out 7’s….

Robbo , set up some brilliant training stations today , with the help from James Ashley & Isobel we had the ladders , Hurdles, running and weaving technics , passing, and some fun with our new tackle bags , all of which was much enjoyed by our team. Its good to see our new training equipment being put to its uses today.

At the end of our session, much to my horror the 4 coaches set a challenge to the children who could do the longest mud slide on their stomachs,,,, and yes they all got totally covered in mud from head to toe . Driving home was not fun and I’m sure all the 7s parents would have been cursing the coaches names when they realized that their clothes needed 2 or 3 washes after today.

But the kids loved it and that’s the main point, if they handled today then they can handle anything….

Kitchen duty was a breeze today with the help of a lot of our mums, and I must say a big thank you to Ali & Tamsin for staying till the end. Also how great Isobel was as she did training then went in and then helped serve lunch. Brilliant team work guys.

See you all next week at Market Harborough
