Saints Tournament

The KRFC U8s sent a squad of eight players to The Saints European Cup pre-match tournament last Sunday, 14th October.

There was an earlier start than usual because the European Cup match kicked off at lunch time. However, even if people had felt a little sleepy first thing the beautifully clear autumn day lifted our spirits and the tight schedule ensured that everyone was soon wide awake.

We played four back-to-back, high intensity matches, which made for an exciting if extremely tiring hour of activity. There was an emphasis on making sure all our players were involved and by the end there were lots of hot and sweaty but smiling faces.

Our pool included Old Scouts, Towcester, Long Buckby and Ampthill. We played with a lot of passion in every match and the last two were close run affairs which we lost by a couple of tries only.
