U8s v Ivel Barbarians

Kettering Under 8s travelled to their first tour stop at Ivel Barbarians. Kettering arrived with a large squad, enough players to make up two teams. However, word of the Under 8s playing panache must have travelled to Ivel Barbarians prior to the squad tuning up. Ivel only mustered a squad of 3.

The Kettering squad and enthusiastic travelling supporters enjoyed the first tour outing by working together in a mass training session and revelled in the snow free environment.

The whole squad enjoyed a lengthy training session which included lots of passing, receiving and positional play. Being on tour gave the squad good opportunity to watch other teams from differing age groups play.

At the session end the boys were introduced to a tackle bag for a bit of fun and next season readiness. Every player enjoyed this and it was an entertaining end to the day at Ivel Barbarians.
