Both our teams played three matches each against mixed ability Ampthill teams. The matches were generally good natured although as players became tired there were a couple of occasions when we needed to be mentally tough to keep our discipline after things became unduly physical.
All the players in both Kettering teams contributed to some excellent displays and more matches were won than lost. The general performance of the teams is even more impressive if it is taken into account that this was the first fixture of the season, the matches lasted much longer than they had last season and that we were playing using the new rules.
Meanwhile, back at Waverley Road, the rest of the ever increasing squad (several more prospective players joined in) were training. The training focused mainly on game play and the players worked really hard right until the session end.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE!
