Along with every other Mini/Junior age group the U9s players took their seats on the KRFC banks to enjoy the morning. Mini/Junior President, Steve Wilson, led proceedings supported by some of Kettering’s 1st team players who presented the awards to all age groups. Each age group manager announced their awards for Outstanding Player, Most Improved Player and Coaches Award. Starting with the Under 6s and finishing with the U16s, our players were a credit to themselves, looking very smart and watching patiently.
Rachel Williams, U9s manager, thanked all those involved with the squad, including parents, coaches and of course the players. Rachel also picked up an award herself from the club during the presentation day celebrations. This year’s awards went to:
Outstanding Player: Hal Robinson
Most Improved Player: Alistair Brooking
Coaches Award: James Stanley
After the awards, the fun really began, inflatables, human fussball, sumo suits and karting were all some of the things on offer. In addition the barbecue was stoked, ice-cream van doing a roaring trade and the bar was open….
A fabulous end to a busy season, looking forward to next season (2014/2015) as Kettering Under 10s.
