Kettering Under 9s had some unfortunate news with the cancellation of the Boot due to poor pitch condition at Market Harborough. However, the squad adapted and organised an indoor training event at Montsaye School, Rothwell.
There was a good turnout of players, thank you to parents/taxi service. The training started with a group warm up followed by splitting into three groups that covered a multitude of skills.
The boys seemed to enjoy the improvised session, there was lots of smiles and laughter amongst the groans of working hard. Photos to follow…
The session ended by every player being involved in a mass game of 'rugby netball'. This looked more like the traditional Rothwell proclamation antics but fun for the boys none the less.
Next week we are at home hosting Oadby.
