Kettering U9s Mobbs qualifier

The under 9s Mobbs qualifier was hosted by Ampthill Rugby Club. There were 3 group pools altogether and Ampthill allowed use of their 1st XV and best kept pitch to play all matches on.

Kettering Under 9s were represented by 2 teams which played in 2 separate groups.
Group 1 was Ampthill A, Huntingdon, Bedford A and Leighton Buzzard
Group 2 included Kettering A, Olney Saints A, St. Neots and Daventry
Group 2 included Kettering B, Peterborough, Ampthill B and Olney Crusaders B

Both Kettering teams started a little sleepy and it took their first game to wake up into the tournament. Both Kettering teams met some very strong competition but rallied together and fought hard in all their games. Unfortunately neither side progressed past the pool stages but learnt some valuable lessons from the tournament. The Kettering teams worked hard all day, training in between games and playing right until the final whistle of each match.
