Kettering travelled to Bedford Athletic this Sunday morning to find some surprisingly decent weather. The ground was muddy but there was no rain and no wind. The boys warmed up and readied themselves with a mass ABC session.
The Blues travelled with a large enough squad to form 2 teams resulting in plenty of game time for the Under 9s. Bedford proved to be a hardy opposition and were well organised defensively. Kettering play is improving at this early stage of the season and showed some real promise on both pitches. There are some coaching points which will be worked on at next week’s training session.
At close of play, the squad enjoyed a monster sized sausage bap…Bedford leading this year on the sausage-o-meter…
During the morning, all played stopped for a dignified and respectful Remembrance Sunday silence conducted by all teams at the Bedford club.
