For Mother's Day it was a respectable turnout, even though numbers dropped through injury before training (a quick trip to A&E) and those attending Saints vs. Tigers (very jealous!)
The remainder soldiered on in varying conditions. At one point the recently snow tanned manager phoned the club house for a round of coffee's for the coaches. From the sidelines the Dads and Mum (notice singular) did not hold out much hope (for him or the coffee). But in 'true blue' fashion Mrs. A arrived bearing hot beverages!
The boys really excelled today especially in the match at the end. The 'Green Vests' were the underdogs but their defence was superb against a strong blue opposition. If Tilley was refereeing then the try denied by 'acting' referee Colson would have probably been allowed :-)
It is always a pleasure to see this side develop and get stronger and stronger and over the last few months they certainly have.
Roll on Stamford!
