U10's Peterborough V KRFC

A gentle warm fenland breeze greeted us this morning on our visit to Peterborough. Another great turnout this morning with 20 players making the trip to the fens.
After a brisk warm up we split into two teams. We had to lend a couple of our squad to peterborough to make up their numbers. Thank you Shae & Austin for stepping up to do this.
We played two games on each pitch. At the breaks we talked to the teams to discuss what we were doing well & what improvements could be made. At each return to play the players improved on the areas which they had identified as needing work. This is a fantastic step for the players & will help them improve their own game.
Peterborough were a very physical squad & fairly equally matched to our own. This made the games a good challenge for our squad & great to watch for the parents.
Good to see some width of play today. Great work at the break down with good rucking. Our defence was something else with a " not givin in" attitude. Great results in all games today.
It's all very positive & encouraging as the players are running the games on the pitch. They are also clearly retaining the information learned in the training sessions.
This is all great news as the squad moves forward together. As usual thank you to the players & parents for the their continued support, well done & we will see you in training on Wednesday.
