Kettering V Wellingborough

What a perfect morning for playing Rugby it was today. With another great turnout of players as usual we fielded nearly 30 players. Wellingborough brought about 12. We had a good warm up session & split our players over 2 pitches & it was agreed to let some of our players play for Wellingborough. This ensured that all the children got as much game time as possible.
We had a visit from Ian Anderson our mini & junior chairman who was impressed with the players level of skill and commitment. Thank you Ian for your positive comments.
It is very clear to see that all of the training on Sundays & Wednesdays is paying off. There was great continuity of play. Good off loading which gave us quick ball. This is a part of the game we have been concentrating on & it is really encouraging to see that the players are taking the information in & using it in their game. Good work at the break down as well which meant we won a lot of the ball.
All round great performances & very pleasing to see the new players gelling in with the more experienced.
Well done team you are working hard & reaping the rewards for your efforts.

Wednesday night we will be training as usual & we are away to Peterborough next Sunday.
