Its been a very emotional week for KRFC. Prior to the start of the tournament everyone stood for a minutes silence for the greatly missed club man Wayne Shearsmith.
We had two teams in the tournament. I managed to watch most of the games & have to say how impressed i was at the total commitment shown by all the players.
We have improved greatly over the last few weeks & this was clear to see today. We won lots of rucks & saw the ball moving quicker which is great to see. Lots of breakaway runs making lots of ground.
I am starting hear the players identify the danger players on the opposing teams & what they are going to do to deal with them. This is a great step forward as the players are understanding how to play the opposition.
Our points won in the tournament were added to the others won by the other mini / junior sides & I am delighted to say that KRFC retained " The Boot" by 1 point.
When you visit the club house please make sure that you show your child the trophy which sits in the cabinet alongside trophy's won by all age groups including the first team. It is by your support & your childs hard work that this was achieved.
Well done everyone!
