Kettering U10s played their first match of 2015 at home against Stamford.
Kettering played at Stamford back in October last year and were matched pretty evenly then. The return fixture would always be an enjoyable affair.
The Kettering squad compromised of three mixed ability teams and they took turns to play the Stamford team. The two Kettering non-playing teams took the time to continue training and worked on rucking/mauling and handling activities.
The three games were competitive and again the two squads appeared pretty much even. It was a good return to game rugby. Coaches will be looking at ball retention and decision making having reviewed the games.
Next week, we are away at Olney (Clubhouse Recreation Ground, East Street, Olney, Buckinghamshire MK46 4DW). Early signs show that Olney will have 3 teams available to play. 'BBQ and hot drinks should warm the parent before KO, hotdogs and sweets should cheer the children up after'
