Kettering travelled to Stamford en mass with 3 teams to play 2 Stamford sides and a team from Sleaford. The day started fresh and the ground was wet but the weather later warmed up resulting in a clear and mild morning.
Stamford made sure the ‘triangular’ was organised to allow three games to played at once, meaning no down time for any of the players. Games game thick and fast, every Kettering team played three times against their Lincolnshire counterparts.
Kettering U10s have made an excellent start to the season and have adapted really well to the new laws this year. Kettering were good in attack, using both power and speed to break defensive lines. Improvements in the contact area are being seen week on week, rucking and mauling technique has developed since the outset of the season.
There were some coaching points from the morning, which will be worked on in coming weeks.
