15 boys from the under 10's arrived at the Towcester grounds and were directed to play next to the chicken sheds. The boys didn't mind even if us parents were holding our noses. They then separated into two teams to gain some valuable match experience.
The first match saw one Kettering team draw 2-2 and the other win 3-1.
The second match saw one Kettering side lose 4-2 and the other win 5-1.
The teams were then mixed up a little and the third match saw one Kettering side draw 5-5 and the other win 2-1.
All games were furiously fought for. The tackling from the Kettering side was good and clean. Their ability to ruck and maul is improving with every opportunity to practice. The passing practice has definitely had an impact and the boys moved the ball around well.
The try scorers on the day were: Harvey Freeman (2), Kacey Tyrell (1), Alex Robinson (1), Luca Stables (1), Thomas Duffin (2), Callum Smyth (4), Rory Tyrell (4), Robson Dabbs (2)and Benji Leesing (2). All the boys gave everything that they had and deserved to take the overall win.
Time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all for some fun at the Bowling Alley on Sunday.
