Two teams of Under 10's scrap their way to victory.

What a beautiful day on this day of remembrance for the Kettering Blues to succeed?!

The sun was shining as the under 10's squad was divided into two teams to face a friendly against the Bedford Blues. The first matches saw a slow start for Kettering drawing 3-3 and losing 2-0. The Bedford team deserved the win after showing a huge amount of aggression and determination to win. Kettering took their time getting organised and were made to pay in these first matches.

However..... The second matches saw one Kettering side draw again with a 1-1 result and the other smash the Bedford side 6-0. Again the Bedford side showed plenty of aggression and determination but after the first matches both Kettering sides were ready for Bedford's ability to rip the ball and stopped them in their tracks. Kettering passed the ball and used the space well. The rucking was superb and a special mention for Tom Cawthorn who scored an outstanding 4 of the 6 scored! Well done!!

So going into the 3rd round of matches the two teams are tied with two draws and 2 wins a piece. The competitive nature of both sides was very apparent in these last matches, the support from the parents in particular at this stage was VERY loud! Both teams from both sides put in a tremendous effort but it was to swing Kettering's way. Kettering drew with Bedford in one match 4-4 yet in the other, Kettering again smashed it with a 9-1 victory. A special mention for Robson Dabbs scoring a hat trick here, Well done!

All the boys worked very hard to secure the win and all deserve a pat on the back for their efforts.

I would also make a special note of the boys behaviour during the minutes silence in honour of our fallen soldiers. You were especially respectful and well controlled considering you had to stop mid matches. You were an asset to the club and should be very proud of yourselves.

In other news, The under 10's squad have been awarded the wild card in the Prima Cup and will play in the quarter finals at Welford Road! Thoroughly well deserved and yet again WELL DONE!!!!!!
