After an emphatic victory last year, we`d returned this year with high hopes of another, only to find that things had changed somewhat. The opposition knew what was coming and they`d GROWN!
And worse than that, a team from Harboro had turned up!

From the start, we all knew it would be Kettering vs Harboro in the Final, and one look at their No2 struck fear into our hearts, crickey he was big and fast and whats more, his Dad played for Leicester Tigers.Da Da Daaaaa. But then I remembered, we had a Cam and Ed`s Dad played for Leicester Tigers, we had nothing to worry about!

Two groups of four in our age group, each group played eachother in a Round Robin type tournament, the top two of each group went forward to play in the cup and the bottom two went to play in the Plate competition.

We had a great day if a little chilly early on but it kept dry thankfully.

1st Match
Kettering vs Syston; 1st half, Tries by Henri +2, Henri,Josh O and Richard. (22-0), 2nd half, Syston,Henri+2,Syston+2,Henri+2, and Syston+2, (14-19)
Overall Kettering 36-Syston19.
It took time for us to get into the swing of things!

2nd Match
Kettering vs West Bridgeford; 1st half, Tries by Cam, WB, Josh L, Cam. (15-5), 2nd half, Cam, Chris and Henri+2. (17-0).
