For those of you who missed it, this is what he said:
"I would like to start with some thank yous.
Firstly to Martin, Phil, Mike, John and Gabriel for all their help with training and with match days.
To Cliff for refereeing - the Towcester coaches send their regards!.
To all the mums (and dads) who washed the shirts this year.
In general, to the parents who bring and support the boys and help with kitchen duties and festivals. The support you have given this year has been fantastic and at times made my job quite easy.
To the U13s who came on tour and put in great performances - Thank you.
Thanks to my wife Beck, for all her help and support throughout the season not just with kettering but also with East Northants. For organising kitchen duties and her general patience and tolerance whilst not seeing me or the decorating not getting done during the rugby season. Thank you.
Now to our team and season:
We where placed in Div 1 this year and our aim was to stay there. By finishing 7th out of 10 we managed that. We started well with a win away at St Ives then a couple of close losses followed by defeat by the top three. But the highlight of the season came in the last two games of the season against Luton and Towcester where we put all the hard work of the season together. Against Luton, who finished 4th in the division, we came from 24-12 down to draw 24-24 which epitomises this teams attitude never to give up and keep playing good rugby. Against Towcester, who shall we say like to play 'physical' our boys stood there and said 'Bring it'. Everyone of the squad that day dug deep, gave everything and we deservedly came out with a 17-5 win.
With this bunch of guys I cannot use the word team to much. They work so hard for each other and this year have battled and competed at times in every department in every game. Overall our forwards have developed this season and there are not many better packs in Division 1. With the help of Phil York, who knows a bit about forward play, they have become a force. This has helped the backs get more space and most of our tries have come from that.
We had some great individual performances and this was backed up with Chris Lampard being selected for Saints's EPDG program. I would also like to congratulate the 8 lads who represented East Northants District this year.
Now to the difficult bit...
Most Outstanding Player: This season could have gone to several players as I could probably name 10 players or more who have had excellent seasons at a consistently high level but we have to recognise the achievements of a player who has worked hard on his fitness and has upped his game to the next level not only at Kettering but at East Northants. Most Outstanding Player goes to: Matthew English.
Most Improved Player: Goes to someone who has just completed his first season with us but has developed all season and put in some great performances and we realised how well he had played when he was absent with illness. Most Improved Player (even if he did shave rings on his legs when bored...) Daniel Antonio.
Coaches Player: Going to someone who at the beginning of the season struggled a little bit and had a bit of disappointment but took good advice and improved where other players could have given up but he kept going and showed great character to put in some fantastic performances. Coaches Player: Chris Giles."
Players Player: Tom Abbott.
