We entertained a touring side from Norwich with only 13 fit players though we did have 15 out there in driving rain and freezing conditions. With me refereeing I thought we could have problems. The boys, as they often do, surprised me. In terrible conditions we played some good close controlled rugby especially in the forwards where a lot of our tries came from, but also, when we did get the ball out we looked good in the backs.
Both sides kept going and even though we were forty odd points up Norwich scored which they fully deserved for their efforts.
Overall we played some good rugby especially in the forwards and this was emphasized with the 51-7 final score but the full team effort and attitude of the boys that turned up was fantastic. Forwards man of the match was Josh Aldwinkle for some great support play. The backs man of the match was Sam Zeller for good distribution and quick ball in difficult conditions.
