This week saw the U14’s competing in the Semi Final of the Mobbs Plate competition. Kettering played some cracking rugby which saw us playing a good running game. Unfortunately Old Scouts were a lot beefier than us and in the rucks and the scrums were driving us back. A couple of unforced errors saw Old Scouts score a couple of quick trys. Luke Conyard made a break for Kettering and came storming down the pitch and did a great offload to Sam Martindale who scored in the corner. Sammy Ismail was taking some brilliant crash balls which gained us good ground. Tom Connolly stepped up his game in the centre and made some great tackles. A couple of quick balls out to Old Scouts very rapid winger saw them scoring again. On the whole Kettering played some brilliant rugby, it was just a question on more beef than brawn which won the day.
Man of the Match: Sammy Ismail and Luke Conyard
