Good D but early season rustiness evident!

Your report is bought to this week by Special Correspondent Richard Izzard

Scoring:

First Third :

1 minute: Try Kettering, score by Cam. Caught MKH asleep early in the game; quick ball delivered along the line, Cam outpaced defence. Henry converted (although after the match there was some debate that this had gone through the posts - ...it definately did!).
20 minutes: MKH try. Conversion missed.

Score 5-7.

Second Third:

Dominated by the MKH (forwards), but lots of great defence by us. MKH missed several chances to score and should really have been ahead, when...
40 mins: Kettering make a break and score. Henry scoring and converting.

Score 5-14.

Final Third:

Fairly even final period, but with a more familiar line-up Kettering forwards gave their best display of the day but no more points added.

Overall we were very rusty, but it was good to see lots of experimenting going on with positions in a friendly.

Bacon Butty:

Bacon: 7, good feedback, some would have preferred it to be crispier.
Roll: 8, best rolls seen since we started to score. Fresh (or a v good impersonation of fresh!) torpedo rolls, with plenty of room for bacon. Extras available to fill the rolls e.g. egg & sausage.

Overall score 7.5/10, a good start to the season.
