Short report his week..... I was watching from the outside kitchen!
It was a fine game of rugby played between 2 evenly matched teams who had to deal with a particularly boggy pitch.
Stockwood Park scored an interception try after 10 minutes but, despite being scored under the posts, they failed to convert.
Harry Simmonds replied for Kettering with a trademark bulldozing try in the 25th minute and Arthur Jones' conversion meant that Kettering went into half-time in the lead 7-5.
Stockwood Park regained the lead half way through the second half with a converted try but Harry Simmonds' second try of the match levelled the scores. Chris Gosling converted to give Kettering the lead. The final 7 minutes were tense but Kettering's defence held out to record a second consecutive home league victory by 2 points.
