Leighton Buzzard broke away and scored an early try. From the kick off Kettering ran the ball and a kick to the corner secured a five metre line out. Kettering won the ball which resulted in Brandon Taylor driving the ball over making the score 5 - 5. Leighton Buzzard managed to score after a few missed tackles and running the ball at Kettering.
In the second half despite a few handling errors and errant passing Brandon was driven over the line to score Kettering's second try. Through injuries Kettering were reduced to 14 men and this resulted in Leighton Buzzard taking the advantage and scoring three break away tries in quick succession.
Kettering rose to the challenge and ran the ball at Leighton Buzzard from all areas which resulted in tries for both Joe Allen and Harvey Bithray, one converted by Jack Sims.
With a frantic last few minutes of Kettering running everything, Leighton Buzzard managed to hold on to secure the win at 25 -22.
A few more tackles, a few less ball handling errors and Kettering could so easily have won. Next time boys!
