Poor start costs Colts

Having got back to winning ways last week the Colts headed to Buckingham for a friendly!!! before next weeks 3rd round national Cup show down with Bedford.

So with a degree of confidence the game got underway however Bucks quickly took hold of the game and ran in a brace of tries within the first 15 minutes effectively putting the game beyond the floundering Blues defence.

Half time couldn't come quick enough to regroup and reflect on how to stem the Buckingham tide (time and tide and all that).

With a comfortable 36-0 lead the home side had a confident swagger in their step however the Blues slowly but surely got back in the game with everyone filling the shirt with a degree of pride and passion.

The forwards kept the ball tight and the backs defended with more structure and were eventually rewarded with two tries.

The second half was won by the Blues 12-7 taking the full time score to 43:12 to Bucks.

Well done to a number the U16 who were given the opportunity to experience Colts Rugby (a tough baptism lads)!

So lets put are best foot forward during the week and work on how to improve concentration and focus through the first quarter. Every time we get of to a solid start we win! so the task is simple.
