After a closely competed opening phase to the game Kettering Colts were able to break through the middle of the pitch and as forwards and backs interchanged passes Calum Whitehead was on hand to score under the posts. Kettering were then able to stretch Daventry wide scoring once in the right corner, through Lewis Young and then minutes later in the left corner with a touch down by Saul Croxford.

Harry Brightwell scored soon after the break by beating his opposite number on the outside and then minutes later the back row combined to enable team mate Jamie Manley to cross the line for his first Colts try. Kettering then scored an excellent try courtesy of Rees Coles from a driving maul at the lineout. Calum Whitehead and Freddie Morris wrapped up the afternoon with tries at the end.
