The Colts conceded 14 points in the first 6 minutes as BBOB made a bright start at St Andrews Mill, Northampton. The first Kettering score came just before half-time as Jack Brown drove over from close range with Harry Brightwell adding the conversion.
Kettering pilled on the pressure in the second half and on the 60 minute mark No. 8 Jack Sharpley touched down as the Kettering forwards drove from a lineout. Despite Kettering having much of the second half territory and possession BBOB claimed their third try of the afternoon as Kettering tried to play a more expansive game.
At 12-21 Kettering looked out of the game until Harry Brightwell scored to give The Colts a glimmer of hope but in real terms it was too late.
“BBOB took their chances and defended well to keep us out. We wish them all the best in the next round” said Andrew Keir.
