COLTS BACK WITH A WIN

Kettering were quickly in to the game this week and ahead after just 3 minutes. Casuals clearance kick was fielded by Jordan Bultin on half-way. Kettering then moved the ball by hand across the entire width of the field to Leuri Marte who found some space on the right wing. Marte broke two tackles and sprinted in from 25 meters. Kettering maintained the pressure and following a drive from the forwards close to the line Joe Holder was on hand to cross for Kettering’s second try of the afternoon.

The second half followed a similar pattern with Kettering again scoring early. Kettering secured the ball at the lineout and after a couple of phases the Kettering backs were able to move the ball wide allowing Jordan Butlin to come in to the line and score. Josh Plowright added the conversion. Kettering’s fourth try was very much a sole effort from Jamie Manley who took advantage of an over throw at the lineout. The number 7 was quick to react and once he had broken the line there was only ever going to be one winner.
