Despite a positive start which saw the Blues come close to scoring in the opening minutes however against the run of play the visitors were the first to put points on the board.
Shortly after the Blues hard work paid off with Phil Cross going over after some excellent work from Didcot and Byron Foster.
After the break the Blues continued to pile on the pressure with the forwards working well despite a less experienced line up than usual and, it was a lack of experience which led to a speculative kick from the ON's fly half producing the decisive score of the game mid way through the second half which despite massive efort from the Blues could not be redressed.
Overall a good performance from the Blues who will take lessons from a game which should really have been won.
