Blues can't find final finish

After a hard fought contest ON's came out on top with a try in each half and single penalty against the blues single penalty from Tim Jones.

The blues improved dramatically from the previous weeks performance with some great defensive work. A few missed tackles were the only difference at half time! The referee had an early bath after pulling his hamstring so the 3rd team gave up their ref so the game could continue.

Limited ball was reaching the backs so in was a battle up front against a solid ONs pack,'scrummaging improved during the game with Kettering holding their own in the second half. After a cheap shot of a head butt from the ONs prop the final 10 minutes were played with some real fire! Blues played some of their best rugby when fired up with passion, let's take that intensity into the next game lads. Unluck not to receive a penalty try in the final minutes the blues pushed through until the end.
