The Blues 2nd team travelled to Ampthill with high hopes of competing well against a side which they knew would be full of quality and highly talented players. However, their hopes were well and truly dashed when their hosts ran riot after an early score for the Blues by Owain Marchbank, who along with another Colt, Damien Conyard, had to leave the field soon after through injury, which didn’t help the sides cause as, despite their commitment, they were no match for their opponents.
