The 2nds had a good win away to Spalding Development in a friendly. We fielded a strong side and it showed as we scored in the opening minutes of a one sided first half. In the second half Spalding slowed the game down and got the rub of the green with the referee around the contact area and the use of a very organise catch and drive to make the score closer than it probably should have been ending 31-20 to the Blues with tries from Malcolm Crooks with 2 and one each from Sean West and Bruce Keir with the latter getting all four conversions and a penalty.
