A brilliant effort by the KRFC U13 Bluebelles

Twelve girls managed the reasonably long trip to Coventry to play Barkers Butt U13s. We decided to play 12 v 12, but at times this ended up as 11 v 11 due to various small knocks and Chloe taking rest breaks as she comes back from a wrist injury and regains rugby fitness. Although we ran away with the game eventually the impressive thing was the way we played throughout the majority of the match. A large number of tries were scored with a mixture of excellent individual efforts from players such as Chloe (impressive return), Ella L (good captaincy today), Lucy, Jess and Hannah, but also team efforts stemming from initial turnovers by Ella D, big tackles from players such as Kate, Holly, and Liberty (Happy Birthday for yesterday). Other highlights, of which there are too many to put in this report included some great runs and good positioning from Izzy, support play and hard running from Maddie, and textbook ball presentation and offloads from Holly. Some players also had to adapt to new positions, including Emily who found herself in the second row but did a brilliant job. It was shame that Emily just stepped out on the way to the try line (or so we are told) which if she had scored would have been try of the day due to practically all players involved in the build up. The attitude and effort of the girls was excellent, and I would like to thank the support of the parents/guardians who turned up to watch today. If I missed something then apologies.
