With Joe Newman and Andy Byrne back from illness the Blues backs started the game in scintillating style, running from deep and tearing through the Paviors mid-field in the first minutes.
An early score seemed inevitable and after a number of near misses, Joe Newman crossed near the posts to make Joe Daniels conversion a simple one.
Damian Conyard was next to benefit from the Blues willingness to keep the ball in hand, as the winger scored the second try on 17 minutes with Daniels conversion opening up a 14 point lead.
At this stage it looked ominous for the visitors, but they fought back aided by the Blues conceding far too many penalties which allowed Paviors to dominate territory for the next quarter.
Eventually the pressure told and the visitors opened their account with a converted try to close the gap to one score at the break.
The Blues re-grouped at half-time and came out strongly at the start of the second half, with Steve Fraher scoring a try after 5 minutes.
The conditions underfoot were making things difficult for the players, but the Blues continued to play with much more intent and Fraher scored his second try from close range, to give the home their forth and bonus point score.
This led to the game becoming somewhat fractious and both sides received a couple of yellow cards as the game drew to a close.
However, the Blues weren't finished a Newman scored his second try of the day, with Daniel adding the extra points, and then right at the end, Ryan Conyard crossed in the corner for the sides 6th try of a very encouraging day for the home side.
