The hosts started well and opened the scoring after 5 minutes with a well practiced catch and drive move from a lineout resulting in an unconverted try.
Kettering fought back, but defences held the upperhand throughout the game, and the Blues first points, playing against the strong wind and sun, came after 20 minutes from the boot of Joe Daniel.
Daniel added a second penalty before the break, as Kettering took a one point lead into the 2nd half, despite Bugbrooke dominating most of the first half, using the wind to pin the Blues in their own half.
The conditions were clearly playing a big part, and it was the Blues turn to use them to keep Bugbrooke deep in their own 22 for much of the rest of the game.
On 50 minutes some fine handling and a great break from Archie Toseland saw Steve Fraher finish the move off with the only try of the game. Daniel converted and then added another penalty to complete the scoring and seal the Blues 9th consecutive win of the season.
