The opening quarter was littered with errors as both sides found the wet condition of the ball an unaccustomed hazard. The Blues were guilty of a number of handling errors when in great positions, which kept the scoreline blank. After 18 minutes some great handling saw Josh Luthayi open the scoring with an unconverted try. Ten minutes later Jordan Butlin broke through the middle and fed to Joe Daniel for the second, unconverted try.
Five minutes later pressure from The Blues led to a 5 metre scrum and George Newman broke to feed Tom Bridgeman for the third try which was converted by Joe Daniel and almost straight from the kick off Archie Toseland broke through and fed Matt Nield who raced in for the bonus point try. This left the score 22-0 at the break.
Five minutes after the restart Josh Block powered his way over with Daniel converting and Block broke again this time to feed Luthayi for his second try. Daniel again converting to bring his personal tally for the season to 100 points.
Daniel then scored himself with a 'chip and chase' which he also converted and then some fine handling by the forwards saw Steve Fraher offload to James Taylor for the winger to score. Fraher then scored himself and with 5 minutes to go George Newman broke off the back of the scrum to complete the scoring. Final score 58-0.
