The Blues came away from Nottingham with a 4 try bonus point win, as their fine start to the season continued.
Paviors started well and tested the Blues defence which stood firm until the 5th minute, when Tom Bridgeman intercepted inside his own 22 to outstrip the defence and score under the posts. Joe Daniel added the extras to open up a 7 point lead.
Paviors hit back levelled the score with a converted try of their own, only for the Blues to re-take the lead with an unconverted try from Archie Toseland.
Then Daniel scored and converted his own try to give the Blues a 19-7 lead at the break.
Despite dominating the early exchanges in the 2nd half, the Blues found themselves pegged back with Jordan Butlin in the bin and Paviors scored an unconverted try to close the gap to 7 points.
With Butlin still off the field Joe Newman charged through a number of would be tacklers to score the decisive 4th try, which Daniel again converted. Paviors fought back and scored their 3rd try, which went unconverted to leave the Blues 9 points clear going into the final minutes.
Daniel put the result beyond doubt with a last minute penalty to leave the Blues, deserved, 29-17 winners.
