Kettering completely dominated the first half, despite only leading 14-0 at the break, after a third minute try and conversion from Joe Daniel and a 22nd minute try from Simon Bartley, which Daniel again converted.
Indeed, such was the Blues dominance that it was over 39 minutes before the visitors managed the spend any time in the home 22.
The 2nd half was much more of a contest, with Peterborough finally getting their game going, but by then tries from James Taylor, skipper Chris Chapman and Ollie Barnes, along with 2 conversions and a penalty from Daniel had seen the Blues open up a 36-7 lead.
Indeed, Boro' had a purple last 10 minutes when they scored 3 tries of their own to give them a bonus point and a huge confidence boost for the coming weeks, and a very sharp reminder to the Blues that they need to maintain their focus for the full 80 minutes, as had that purple patch been 15 minutes earlier the score line could have been different
