The game started at a frantic pace and the Blues were soon on the scoresheet when Shane Ling was driven over after some fine handling had seen Bugbrooke's defence stretched from one side of the pitch to the other. 5-0 to Kettering.
Harry Owens then burst through to score under the posts and make his conversion a formality, to make the score 12-0 after 10 minutes.
A rampaging Kev Osborne then smashed his way over for the Blues third try, and the home side led 19-0 with little over a quarter of the game gone, as Owens added the extras.
Bugbrooke finally came into the game and reduced the arrears with a penalty to leave the score 19-3 at the break.
The Blues continued to dominate and Archie Toseland crossed the whitewash wide out on the left after a thrilling break by Owens had taken the home side 70 metres up the field. 24-3 after 50 minutes.
A second Bugbrooke penalty gave the visitors something to cheer about, but this was short lived as first Aaron Kelman and then Steve Freeman scored tries with the latter converted by Owens to see the scoreboard reading 36-6 with several minutes still to play.
Bugbrooke, however, had the last say as a fine individual try by Adam Pepper, was converted to leave the final score 36-13 to the Blues.
