Another good day for running the ball and Kettering took full advantage - with Archie Toseland scoring after just 3 minutes, Bruce Keir converting, then Tom Connolly scored the first of his three tries closely followed by Josh Block again Keir adding the extras.
Scrum half Ben Hanger was next over the line followed by a great run and try from Dan Ireland, both converted by Keir and right on the half time break Steve Fraher powered over to give the Blues a comfortable 38 - 0 half time lead.
Tom Connolly scored the next two tries to complete his hat trick with Keir converting the first and Kettering were up to 50 points, Harry Owens then scored his first try for the first team converted by Keir, and Vice Captain George Newman scored the next, and right on time Billy Burrell scored a try converted by 'Man of the Match' Harry Owens!
Credit to Dronfield who never gave up but I am sure they travelled home glad they don't have to play the Blues every week! The Blues meanwhile face a real test of where they are next week as they travel to National 3 Bedford Athletic in the East Midlands Cup quarter final - kick off is 3pm and your support would be most welcome!!
