The Blues started well and some fine running rugby saw them scoring 3 trues in the opening quarter, through Damien Conyard, Dan Ireland and Chris Chapman, with Ollie Furness adding the extras to all of the scores. Luke Conyard then crossed wide out and the Blues led 26-0 at half-time, despite Matlock enjoying their best spell in the last few minutes, where the visitors were unlucky not to get points on the board on more than one occasion.
The second half proved even more fruitful for the home side as their expansive game proved too much for the already relegated visitors. Further tries from Danny Noble (2), Ryan Conyard (2), Dan Ireland with his second, Luke Conyard, also with his second and Jordan Butlin, with 4 of the tries converted saw the Blues run out 69-0 winners, to finish their home season off in style.
