The home side pushed hard from the start and were unlucky not to score in the first minute, before a terrific break out of defence saw the Blues sweep the length of the field, with Aaron Kellman finishing the move off to score an unconverted try in the corner.
Skipper, Tom Bridgeman had been heavily involved in that score, and he was even more involved in the next when he spotted a gap in the home defence a broke through from halfway for a fine individual try, converted by Joe Daniel to give Kettering a 12 point lead after 7 minutes.
Daniel then scored himself dummying his way through the home defence, and he then added the extra's to James Aldwinckle's score after good close quarter work from the forwards.
Daniel then scored his 2nd try of the afternoon, which he again converted as the Blues threatened to run riot, leading 38-0 after just 25 minutes.
When Conor Horgan raced over and Daniel converted the Blues were 45 points clear with only 30 minutes on the clock.
A number of changes were made and this seemed to coincide with a slump from the Blues, which lifted the home sides spirits and they finished the half with a fine converted try to leave the score at 45-7 to Kettering at the break.
The second half was a scrappy affair, with far too many handling errors by the Blues and a concerted effort by Laurentians to get back into the game. The Blues took 10 minutes to get their next score, with Dan Martin in support of a storming run from Andy Jones, and Daniel added the extra's.
Josh Luthayi scored the final two tries for the Blues, with Daniel converting the first, to see the Blues home with a 64-7 win.
