KRFC – The Flaming News Issue: 29th May

Peter May29 Apr - 20:33

KRFC and friends, the sun is shining! Rugby is almost over for the club-level season, except for the Papa John’s Cup.

The Blues are still in the mix with an away trip to Ledbury RFC in Herefordshire, post code HR8 2LP - Clubhouse No: 01531 631788. Please get on the road and support if you are available.

Ledbury finished 11th in Regional 2 Midlands West, surrounded by clubs who we used to play - Whitchurch finished 12th, Hereford 10th and Malvern 9th. So an interesting and close game should be on the cards!

There will be a big gap in the coaching staff and supporters as a party of 52 set off for the Tour to Heidelberg in Germany this weekend – WGOTSOT!

What started as a Vets Tour traditionally has now become something of a Club Tour as we see a range from across the entire club joining over the years to what has become the must do trip for many – have fun boys!

Back home, the club will be operating as usual with live televised rugby covering the much-anticipated Saints v Leinster match – a nervous affair for Saints fans as they face some very stiff competition.

With sun out and a Bank Holiday Weekend at hand, why not make time to join us on Sunday for the Quiz – the added attraction is that the Snowball Jackpot now stands at £ 500 this week. All the details are on the website.

KRFC Mini - Junior’s - Girls:
A massive thank you from the club to all the parents, coaches and volunteers that make it all possible. It’s been another wonderful season, and we are proud to witness the growth and development of so many young people and to be a part of their journey.

It can be easily forgotten that rugby provides so much more than just the sport itself and that it provides the opportunity for lifelong friendships, personal development and general wellbeing along with the obvious physical benefits.

Although the season has closed out, please don’t go too far as we have been reliably informed that MJr Chair – Liam Noble has big plans to help fill the void between now and September, so stand by!

The club also looks forward to the very exciting Mini - Junior Country and Western Event which will be out for booking this week with full details of what to expect. What we do know is its full of entertainment for all the family so don’t miss out.

KRFC Sponsors:
I know we said a big thank you at the lunch recently but thank you once again for your support through the season and beyond.

For our exiting and any potential new sponsors, we will have next seasons packages out very soon as well as Music & Beer Festival details for the event and for barrel sponsorship.

With next season being the 150th Celebration, there will be much exposure available, so please get involved.

Coming up…..

There are still places for the Presidents Golf Day – Friday11th July

KRFC M&BF ’25 – tickets available soon

MJr Presentation Day – Sun 22nd June

With this and much more to come, please stay tuned.

See you at the Clubhouse soon.

Regards,
